 Background Information

 George Washington was born in 1732 and died in 1799.

He lived in Westmoreland, Virginia. 

He was married to Martha Dandridge and had no children.

George's dad died when he was 11 years old.

From then on his brother Lawrence took care of him.

George was experimenting with scientific

farming, bought and sold lands, and

liked to hunt and fish.

In 1748 George became a surveyor.

 He helped lay out the Virgina town of Belheaven.

George Washington went to school at Danville ,Va Broad Street.

 

Role in the American Revolution
