Background Information- Patrick Henry failed as a shopkeeper and farmer but succeeded in law school. Patrick Henry was born May 29, 1736 and died on June 6, 1799. Patrick Henry gave a famous speech. He won fame. He was against the Stamp Act. He lived in Hanover County.

Role in the American Revolution
Patrick Henry's role in the American Revolution was a very big deal.He gave his speech which helped encourage the colonists to break away from Great Britain. After his speech, people started to believe that he was right and took matters into their own hands.

The Importance of this Patriot
He had helped in the Boston Tea Party. Also he gave a very good speech on the importance of being free Americans.After his speech, the colonists thought about why they have been letting one man, rule them. Finally, the colonists came up with the decision to break away from Great Britain. He was a a hero of the Revolutionary War!
